I am an eclectic and non-conventional psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in mental health. I incorporate ancient healing techniques in a mind-body approach. Mayya Wellness Institute is a boutique psychotherapy practice created to cater to clients who enjoy specialized and highly qualitative results. I take my time working with each client diligently.
My mission is to remove the stigma of the disease model. I do not treat my clients like they are sick. I treat the nervous system. You see the symptoms. I see and treat the root of the problem.
I am trained in several modalities rather than just one. One of the strongest being EMDR therapy. I specialize in neurohacking and creating a more optimal version of your thought process. I am a generalist which means I work with people of all ages. This has helped me develop a keen sense of the human condition and the challenges we face throughout the lifespan. I prioritize creating an accepting and non-judgmental space where you can safely seek your truth and release shame, guilt and anger. Our client therapist relationship is built on safety, trust, and authenticity.

I am a modern and hip therapist looking to remove the stigma of therapy by making it accessible, solution based, engaging, and life-changing. Therapy shouldn’t be a punishment or seen as a defeat. Yes of course, we will do hard work and it won’t always be easy, but with 10+ years of experience and education in the clinical mental health field, I am able to connect with my clients of all ages and show them that together we can find a solution. I have worked in human services treating substance abuse and sexual abuse victims and underprivileged populations. I then joined a group practice that integrated holistic practices with mental health.
In 2014, I opened my boutique private practice. My speciality is merging cognitive behavioral approaches, mindfulness practices, and trauma focused modalities focused in neurobiology. This merging of the best of both worlds allows my clients to get a fully comprehensive and integrative approach that addresses every aspect of the individual using my unique approach.
The Mayya Wellness Institute is a space that embodies the essence of pure calm and acceptance for both mind and body so that my clients feel safe enough to be themselves and to discuss whatever needs to be addressed, and there is no topic that is off limits. The environment is made to feel like a casual space, to encourage luxury and ease rather than a medical facility.
Since my specialty is realigning the central nervous system, I heavily rely on not only your emotional experience but on your senses, utilizing sound, smell, and color theory to facilitate a deep sense of peace when you enter the space. I am here to accommodate your needs - we may have our sessions in person, and/or with teletherapy. All sessions are confidential and conducted with the utmost privacy.
